About Aletheo

The story.

Aletheo was inspired by Twelve, an app that has since gone away. When it did, its idea didn't deserve to go with it. Anthony took that as a challenge: help people read the Bible consistently, not with another solo reading plan but with a few people who notice when you show up and notice when you don't.

That's the whole design. A circle of up to six. One reading a day. A photo of the page to say "I was here." Prayer for each other along the way.

About Anthony

Most people who quit reading never decided to quit.

Anthony King is the Senior Pastor of Huikala Baptist Church in Honolulu, Hawaii, a U.S. Navy veteran, and a husband and father. Years of pastoring taught him that most people who quit reading the Bible never decided to quit. Life got busy, a day slipped, and nobody was close enough to ask about it. He built Aletheo so somebody always is.

Anthony also founded The Vanguard, a discipleship movement that trains Christian men in three commitments: lordship, leadership, and legacy. It works the same conviction Aletheo is built on. Men grow in brotherhood, not in isolation.
